Jews in the Grip of Small and Big Histories : Reflections on the Locus of Jewish Society in the Bohemian Lands and Early Modern Europe

Abstract

Original complementary study to the translation of the critical edition of the Prague Hebrew Chronicle from the early modern period (edited by A. David, 1984, English translation published in 1993).

The chapter tries to catch certain significant moments of the Jewish historical experience in the mostly non-Jewish setting of early modern Europe.
