Territorialising Spiritual Values : Notions of "Belonging" and "Possessing" in the Context of the Controversy over Max Brod's Legacy

Abstrakt
The author focuse on differents uses of the notions of identity by cultural agents with some political agenda. It argues, that literary legacy can turn into symbolic place of memory, along the physical spaces of memory like museums, libraries etc.
The contribution compares press releases, dictionary and encyclopedia entries in three different countries, involved direclty or indirectly in the controversy over Max Brod's legacy (Germany, Israel, Czech Republic)
