Revitalization, preservation and formation of cultural identity of Native American Indians

Abstract

The conference was focused on revitalization of traditional Indian culture and contemporary native art concept. This project stimulated debate about possibilities of using cultural tourism to revitalize the traditional native art.

Emphasis was placed on comparison of two aspects - tourism as a threat to traditional arts and tourism as an opportunity to revitalize traditional art.
