Abstract
The article brings information on the successful launch of the third Chinese lunar spacecraft that soft-landed on the Moon's surface with the "Jade Rabbit" lunar rover. Besides the technical facts and up-to-date history of Chinese robotic lunar research the article also analyzes possibilities of translations of the rover's name according to the Chinese traditions and also mentions thoughts on China's future lunar research.
