Abstract
The aim of the study is to uncover didactical aspects of Bohuslav Havránek´s work. Even though Havránek himself considered his didactic activities to be one of the key parts of his professional portfolio, they do not really call the linguistics historiographers’ attention.
Therefore, the study tries to define his status in the evolution of 20th-century Czech linguodidactics.
