Abstract
The article deals with current trends and significant reports which influence or will infuence cataloging standards in future and the process of bibliographic control too. Conceptual models FRBR and related, cataloging rules RDA and initiatives dealing with xml formats for bibliographic data and Linked Library Data projects belong to them.
The aim of the article is to sum up the development of bibliographic control in the last decade with the focus on future trends for standards used by bibliographic process.
