Abstract
Basic guidelines for recommendations: • Assessment of the state of health as part of the pre-anesthetic examination is a consultative examination by a doctor with specialized qualifications in the field of Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine (AIM) or under his professional supervision; • A doctor with specialized competence in the field of AIM is entitled to pre-anesthetic examination of patients of all age groups and is responsible for pre-anesthetic examination. • The scope of additional and advisory examinations as part of the pre-anesthetic examination is determined by a doctor with specialized competence in the field of AIM. • The pre-anesthetic examination must be documented in writing in the medical records. • Routine performance of biochemical tests in asymptomatic patients is not recommended.
