Abstract

Spasticity occurs most frequently on the basis of ischemic or hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Much less is often an accompanying symptom subarachnoideal bleeding.

Spasticity is a frequent and permanent damage after stroke, which greatly reduces the patient's self-sufficiency is a source of additional complications (pressure sores, pain, skin infections) and also complicates patient care others.
