Abstract
The study proves the questionnaire IPQ - CZ in conditions of the Czech health institutions on the basis of pilot studies by patiens with four types of ilness: acute diagnosed illness - curable, acute illness - becoming chronical, chronical illness, oncological illness. 79 patients participated in these pilot studies. Survey didn´t demonstrate clearly that questionnaire IPQ-CZ could be a rutine tool for understanding of patient´s conception of illness.
Results showed how patiens differently perceive individual variables typical for subjective perception of illness and they confirmed the importace of sensitively conducted conversational interview between health service officer and patient.
