Abstract

International scientific networking had been considerably restricted after 1948. The reasons were political as well as financial.

Restrictions included attendance at international congresses abroad as well as organization of international professional events in CSSR. The paper lists the difficulties and hurdles that had to be overcome when attempting to travel abroad or to organize an international event.
