Malnutrition and Inflammation increase mortality of hemodialysed (HD) patients

Abstrakt

HD patients with signs of malnutrition and inflammation such as low albumin, and fetuin or high C-reactive protein are more prone to increased two-years mortality. Measures aimed to influence this negative phenomenon are necessary to counteract the high mortality.
