How are the 'Respiric club' patients from Hradec Králové viewing contemporary health care

Abstract

The most important answers to the health care questionaire in 62 patients suffering from chronic respiratory disorders (mainly bronchial asthma) were as follows:

1) Fully satisfied with the specialists care were 79% of patients, whereas 66% of them were satisfied with family doctor´s treatment.

2) The visits at family doctor´s surgery were 4-6/year, in specialists ambulances 3-4/year.

3) The introduction of proposed payments for the health care will be of nearly unbearable burden for 76% patients, contemporary costs for the used drugs being 90-1000 Czech crowns monthly.

4) In only 11% patients the restriction of the visits to the doctor´s office was admitted.
