IMRT using simultaneous integrated boost (66 Gy in 6 weeks) with and without concurrent chemotherapy in head and neck cancer toxicity evaluation

Abstrakt

The article evaluates acute and late toxicity of intensity-modulated radiotherapy using simultaneous integrated boost with dose of 66 gy in six weeks with and without concomitant chemotherapy in 48 patients with head and neck cancer. In terms of toxicity profilesthis regimen can be an alternative of 70 Gy in 7 weeks normofractionally.
