Abstract
Immunopathologic reaction of delayed type hypersensitivity caused by environmental antigens could also cause life-threatening condition called anaphylaxis developing with variety of symptoms. Anaphylaxis always endangers patient with vital function failure or even cardiac arrest that could be easily prevented by early goal-directed treatment.
Prevention of cardiac arrest is the most important task for the first contacted healthcare provider that must offer imediate medical care. The article summarizes therapy of anaphylaxis in accordance with the recent European resuscitation council Guidelines and Resuscitation Council UK working group Guidelines for healthcare providers: Emergency treatment of anaphylactic reactions.
