Restoration of zooplankton in a small acidified mountain lake (Plešné Lake, Bohemian Forest) by reintroduction of key species

Abstract

A successful reintroduction of Cyclops abyssorum (Crustacea, Copepoda) into Plešné Lake, which was damaged by atmospheric acidification, confirms reversal of its hydrochemistry to pre-acidification conditions and possibility of recovery of its biota.
