Anthracycline therapy can induce very early increase in QT dispersion and QT (c) prolongation

Abstrakt

In patients with acute leukemia treated with antracyclines, the authors showe significant increase of QT dispersion and QT prolongation. These parameters signalize increased susceptibility of myocardium for ventricular arrhythmias.

The study reveals another danger of anthracysline treatment.
