Motion-onset VEPs: characteristics, methods, and diagnostic use

The paper summarises results of existing methodological and diagnostic pilot studies (including 29 from our lab), proving that combination of the standard visual evoked potentials (pattern-reversal VEPs) with the 'motion-onset VEPs' (new variant of VEPs enabling detection of functional disorders of the magnocellular system/dorsal stream of the visual pathway) increases sensitivity of this non-invasive low-cost electrophysiological examination e.g. in Multiple Sclerosis, Retrobulbar Neuritis, Neuroborreliosis, Glaucoma, Toxic Optic Neuropathy, Age-related Macular Degeneration, Amblyopia, Dyslexia, Encephalopathy, Schizophrenia. Implementation of the'motion-onset VEPs' is recommended.
