Abstract
The author of this paper presents critical study of an extensive book of Vojtěch Novotný, dedicated to the life and work of Bonaventura Bouše (1918-2002). This Franciscan priest played an important part in the life of Catholic Church in Czechoslovakia in the tough years of the Communist persecutions.
His intellectual heritage is so provoking that the author, apart from presenting and assessing the studied book, searches for the ways to cope with this intellectual legacy of. B.
