Abstract
In the paper we research the reception of the first literary texts of Slovene moderna (of the writers Ivan Cankar and Zofka Kveder). In the Slovene culture of that time the realistic type of reception dominated.
The atmosphere was very catholic and the literature was used for nationalistic purposes.
