About the proud men : Matija Murko about Franc Miklošič

Abstract

In the paper we analyze the relationship between two great Slovene slavists in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, who wereconnected to Vienna´s scientific circle: Franc Miklošič and Matija Murko. Franc Miklošič was the professor of slavistics in Vienna and Matija Murko his student.

M. Murko wrote about his work in eighties and ninties of the19.

Century. He was influenced with his work all his life.
