Abstract
The main topic of this article is a Christian Social Party in the First Republic of Austria. The research focuses on development of the Party from the period of cooperation with the Social Democratic Party at the beginning of the Republic to the authoritarian period of the Christian Social Chancellor E.
Dollfuss. The article deals also with an ideological backround and the internal problems of the party, and with a relationship to the other political subject in Austria.
