Abstract
The treatise aims at the descriptions of story as a genre in contemporary TV news and in printed newspapers. Author characterizes text composition and linguistic means and notices stylistic techniques used.
She tries to focus on the difference between text treatment in journalistic texts and literary texts. She specifies the position of story in the news with respect to current conditions in the media market.
