Study of organ toxicity of repeated administration of novel iron chelator o-108 in rabbits

Abstrakt

Potential organ toxicity after repeated administration of novel iron chelator - pyridoxal 2-chlorobenzoyl hydrazone (o-108) - was preliminarily assessed in rabbits. Histological examination did not reveal any distinct organ damage.

Thus o-108 remains promising iron chelator from the standpoint of its potential therapeutic use.
