Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, clinical characterisatic and treatment options - data from register of Czech lymphoma group

Abstract
Diffuse large B-cell lymhoma (DLBCL) takes about 40% of nonhodgkin´s lymphomas. According to WHO classification mediastinal, intravascular and primary effusion type are distinguished.
In register of Czech lymhoma group is DLBCL is most common type of NHL. 48 patients with mediastinal variant were studied between 1999-2001. Results were comapred with group 48 pts. with nonmediastinal DLBCL.
Treatment outcomes were comparable in PFS and OS. Based on these results, treatment results of both groups are comparable.
