Vascular Compression of Rostral Medulla Oblongata: Prospective MR Imaging Study in Hypertensive and Normotensive Subjects

Abstract

According to the results of our prospective MRI study, the presence of a neurovascular contact at the rostral ventrolateral medulla is not the sole factor responsible for development of 'essential' hypertension throughout the large affected population.
