Skeletal muscle amino acid metabolism in septic patients - a pilot study

Abstract

Selected amino acids levels in skeletal muscle interstitium in septic and non-septic patients were estimated using microdialysis. There were lower interstitial levels of glutamine, alanine, isoleucine and tyrosine in septic patients.
