Tumor angiogensis II. Methods and importance of quantification; Angiogenesis as a prognostic tool and a target for future therapeutic approaches

Abstract

The relationship between angiogenesis (microvessel count) and behavior of the tumor (formation of metastases) is discussed. A review of studies focused on angiogenesis as well as perspectives of future antiangiogenic treatment is presented.
