Abstract

This paper examines the issue of augmented reality and aspects of its application in education. The objective of this paper is to present selected results of theoretical study of augmented reality, especially perceptual and technical categorization aspects of systems of augmented reality in the context of the application of these systems in the field of education.

It focuses on definition of augmented reality as perceptual technological concept and on identification of the technological-functional properties and specifics of augmented reality systems that allows to define didactic functions and possibilities of use of augmented reality in education.
