The concept of civic education in the curriculum and its relation to the subject-didactic preparation of future teachers

Abstract

The paper first reflects the development of the concept of teaching civic education since the founding of Czechoslovakia. Subsequently, it´s devoted to its present position in the curriculum, noting its background and outlines some of its current problems.

In this context it deals with the content of the current subject-didactic training of future teachers of civics with a possible view to the future.
