Research into spatial intelligence and the efficiency of the application of spatial visualization in instruction

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2013

Abstract

The paper deals with the issue of spatial visualization in instruction. It provides the basic characteristics of premises, goals, concepts and findings of the experiment in educational settings that focused on relations between the form of the presentation of subject matter (planar visualization and spatial visualization), spatial intelligence, or the ability of mental rotation and the results in the education of lower secondary school students (ISCED 2).

The presumption was that the application of spatial visualization will lead to better results in the education of students with a lower spatial intelligence level. This was measured on the basis of their mental rotation ability. (C) 2013 The Authors.
