Abstract
Monograph concerns the problems of religion in contemporary Russian culture. First it studies demonstrations of particular Orthodox elements in Russian culture (church concept of time and space, rites and sacraments, iconography).
It follows history and contemporary state of Old Believers and in a final chapter it presents main religious systems of Russian Federation, (such as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism) as well as shamanism and new religious movements. It is supplemented by Russian-Czech dictionary of Orthodox terminology, illustrations, maps and indexes.
