The chapter deals with official discussions over student clubs in the 1960s Prague. These discussions corresponded with efforts of Prague higher education students to include some elements of popular culture of Western youth into the program of Prague student clubs.
Discussions over the program of student clubs in Prague contributed to social and cultural differentiation of Czechoslovak youth after Stalinism as well as showed the dissonance between imagination of higher education students and official culture promoted by party and youth authorities. Discussions over student clubs program have been also influenced by other socialist, particularly by Polish patterns of student club program.
