Introduction to Pedagogy in Computer Science and Computation for Primary and Lower Secondary Schools
Abstract
A set of lectures were dedicated primarily to Mexican Primary and Lower Secondary School teachers of Informatics or Computer Science. Lectures combined with practical seminars were also dedicated to everybody who is interested in computational thinking development in teaching different school subjects.
A great attention was given to explanation of a current situation of implementation of ICT into school education in European countries and initiatives to integrate into curriculum Computer Science in the United Kingdom. The lectures were focused on importancy of digital technology for a globalised world, a modern prospering society, schools and all learners.
Practical example and exercises how to develop computational thinking and to approach to pedagogy in computer science education were the integral part of the lectures.
