Abstract
Gastrointestinal polyposis refers to the presence of numerous polypoid lesions throughout the gastrointestinal tract. The polyposis syndromes are distinct entities clinically and pathologically.
Most of these syndromes are inherited, and most are associated with an increased colon cancer risk.
