On the Character of Nations, Women, Bear Hunt and lot of Other Things (A Record of an Audience with J. B. Tito, Marshal of Yugoslavia)

Abstract

The paper deals with a document recording the audience of the American writer of Macedonian origin Stoyan Christowe and his wife, with the Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito. The broader context and circumstances of this meeting are explained.

Withal, the document is treated as a source for analysing the culture of the statesman representation and the mentality of this political personality.
