Unilateral agenesis of maxillary lateral incisor - esthetic results of the management with dental implant
Abstract
The study deals with the esthetic results after treatment of patients with unilateral agenesis of maxillary lateral incisors. The space was treated with a dental implant.
The degree of patient´s satisfaction was investigated by means of a questionnaire. It is assumed that the patients will be rather tolerant regarding estehetic flaws.The sample included 26 patients with unilateral implants at the place of maxillary lateral incisor and with finished prosthetic treatment.
In case the opposite lateral incisor was peg shaped, it was already after the reconstruction with composite resin. Implant-supported restorations did not meet all the criteria observed.
