Abstract

Hydrogen cyanide is a colorless, extremely poisonous volatile liquid, which has a faint, bitter, almond-like odour. Manifestation of acute poisoning is coma with seizures, apnoea and cardiac arrest.

In the article is described a murder by hydrogen cyanide, which happened in 1952.
