Abstract

The first part of the paper introduces briefly Fichte´s approach to imagination in broader context of his work. The second part presents his understanding of imagination and deduction of categories against the background of Kant´s critical philosophy.

Subsequently, the third part of the paper traces Fichte´s movement from the absolute I of the first principle to imagination which represents a condition of all "object consciousness". In this connection, Fichte´s deduction of categories.
