Occurence and behavior of system peaks in RP HPLC with solely aqueous mobile phases

Abstract

The behavior and occurence of system peaks were studied in reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography with mobile phases composed of aqueous buffers without any organic modifier. Binary mobile phases were composed of benzoic acid and LiOH.

Indirect UV detection with various wavelenghts depending on mobile phase composition was used.
