Abstract
In the paper there is an overview of tidal effects – effects caused by tidal forces. These effects are: tides, synchronous rotation, tidal evolution of the Earth-Moon system, tidal acceleration and deceleration of planetary satellites and tidal heating.
All these effects are very interesting, they can help increase students’ motivation to study physics.
