Influence of fatigue on the quality of life of oncological patients

Abstract

We present outcomes of the research focused on the quality of life of the oncologic patients, which passed in the Czech Republic between the years 2000 and 2001. The research was realized with a population of patients with heterogeneous malignancies at 30 oncologic and hematooncologic sites in the Czech Republic.

Conclusion: Fatigue is the main factor that affects the quality of life. Psychical pension, pain, level of hemoglobin, nausea, constipation, and diarrhea affect the quality of life primarily indirectly via fatigue.
