Bolevec Ponds System - Contribution to History of Fish-Pond Cultivation in Plzeň Region

Abstract

This survay of the Bolevec Pond-System, realized with the help of 'stavebně-historický průzkum' methods, shows the real possibility of surveying even such unusal constructions, allows understanding their consecutive genesis as well as the other circumstances of their origin. Based on written sources we documented foundations of single ponds, solved the questions dealing with their age and development and clarified the extent of the whole pond-system and its parts as well.
