God and the gods. Churches, Religiosity and Spirituality in the Czech 19th Century. An interdisciplinary volume includes more than 30 studies (conference papers) concerning various aspects of Church history, religious life and spiritual tendencies during the 'long 19th Century'. The studies were divided in several sections:
1) philosophy and sociology of Christianity, Bolzano and Masaryk,
2) spirituality of the Czech society, non-orthodox tendencies,
3) the Church and the State the Church and the Nation,
4) Catholics and (against) nationalization of the Church,
5) renewal in religious art, Christianity and modernity.
