Abstract

The opinion, that the understanding of time as a given entity does not have a model in reality and is only an expression of human intelingence, appeared in the history of philosophy long before the modern age. In the article it is illustrated in the interpretation of this topic how it was presented by Aristotle, Thomas Aquinius and the leading representative of the second scholastics Rodrigo de Arriaga.
