Leptin Levels in Obese Children: Effects of Gender, Weight Reduction and Androgens

Abstract

Obesity in children is accompanied by increased circulating leptin concentrations. The authors found that serum leptin concentrations in obese children were significantly decreased after a five-week weight reduction program.
