Abstract
The sympatric presence of different populations of Daphnia obtusa species complex in Slovakia, which are very morphologically and ecologically similar but genetically distinct, is reported. The possible taxonomic position of populations from the High Tatra Mountains and Spišská Magura region are discussed.
