Assessment of the level of physical literacy is a major issue for all levels of education both in the sports environment and in pre-school and school physical education. Currently we understand the physical literacy as an individual's readiness to move and to adequately address the physical task arising from environmental conditions.
The purpose of cultivation of physical literacy is to acquire a conscious mastery of basic movements creating appropriate "movement patterns" in terms of quality musculoskeletal expression and use the acquired skills as a prerequisite for their transfer to other specific gymnastic skills, but possibly in different movement skills and sports activities.
