Abstrakt
Non-equilibrium plasmas are widely used in an already impressive range of technological applications, comprising cleaning, sterilization or decontamination of surfaces, their patterning or functionalizing, deposition of protective or decorative coatings, modification of surfaces for improvement of their bioresponsive properties or as sources of radiation. The main intention of this chapter is to show that plasma technologies are of high interest also in the field of production of food packaging materials.
