Abstract

Multiple sclerosis ( MS) is a disease of the central nervous system , whose main substrate is an autoimmune inflammation affecting the myelin and nerve fibers. The majority of patients (85 % ) of the disease starts developing acute symptoms ( in hours ) that persists constantly over 24 hours and are defined as attacks ( relapses).

Typically, there are the first signs of the disease between the twentieth and fortieth year of age and is , for example, visual disturbances, sensitivity , mobility, balance , etc. In the case of the first relapse in the lives of patients with positive findings on ancillary diagnostic methods (magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI) and cerebrospinal fluid ) talking about the so-called clinically isolated syndrome ( clinically isolated syndrome , CIS).

Only with the further development of the disease over time (second relapse , progression or signs of new disease activity on MRI ) are filled with self-diagnosis RS criteria , in this case, relapsing- remitting (RR -MS)
