Abstract

Osteoporosis is highly-prevalent disease with deep health and social impact. About 8 % of the population is in danger of disease.

The most common reason is decrease of oestrogen production after menopause, resulting in the increased resorption of bone tissue, decrease of bone mineral density and hogh fragility. The clinical diagnostics is supported by the measurement of bone mineral density; FRRAX is important tool for individual risk prediction.
